A grey and black wolf lay in the shadows of the Forgotten Forest, its golden eyes searching for any signs of its parents. They had been gone for nearly 4 whole days now. The pup, Grail, flicked her ears, searching for any sound of wolves. But she heard nothing but the splash of the drops dew falling from the tall trees above. Where were her parents? Why would they abandon her? The pup stood, stretching her long legs and yawning. Suddenly, a twig cracked from behind her. Grail swiftly turned around, her keen eyes searching the darkness. Nothing. She sat there, motionless. A russle, this time, came from beside her and, as she turned, something grabbed her, pinning her to the ground. The pup tried to free itself, but with no luck. Whatever it was had her down strong. "W-What do you want?" Grail whimpered. No reply. "Please let me go." She rested her head down on the cold ground and closed her eyes, waiting.





"Get up." Something growled. Grail opened her eyes, but shut them quickly, blinded by the sudden burst of sunlight. "Get up." The voice said again. Grail sat up, opened her eyes, and looked around. A young female sat before her. A grown male wolf watched two young pups wrestle with each other.

"Where am I?" Grail asked, looking up at the female wolf. She had light brown fur covering her body, just the tip of her tail white. The wolf had dazzling Dark blue eyes that peirced right into Grail.

"You are safe." Was all the female wolf said.

"But how am I safe?" Grail questioned. The wolf gave no answer, but lightly swished her tail. The two young pups dashed over to the female wolf, but stopped as they noticed the new pup.

"Who's this, ma?" The red furred pup asked.

"Quiet, Naomi." The female hushed her pup. Naomi nodded her head in understandment.

"What am I doing here?" Grail asked, searching all three wolves infront of her.

"You're parents... they had to go away for awhile." The female wolf began.

"Why?" Grail grew worried.

"No need to be frightened." The she-wolf said, with a smile on her face. "They just had to go away. Travel. So, they're letting us"-The family of wolves-"take care of you. I'm you're mother's sister, Diana." The mother wolf grinned as she saw Grail brighten up a little.

"Oh. Okay." Grail smiled a little.

"Much better." Diana slurred. She turned and introduced everyone. Naomi, the red furred pup. Kris, the black pup with a resemblence to his father. And Alan, the strong father, who was purely black with jet black eyes.




So, the family of wolves moved to some place secluded, Grail not knowing the secret that would change her life forever.


10 years later, the secret had been let out...

Selena rested, laying in her small, cozy cave. She peered out into the darkening forest outside, watching as the shadows took over. How long would it take? Selena questioned herself over and over about this journey she would soon begin. Her ears flicked as the memory came flooding back to her.

She had been a pup, happy with her life with her family; a sister, mother, and father. Her sister had been her closest friend. Looked almost exactly alike, except for the color difference. Selena had more of a resemblence to her mother, with the lavender colored fur and baby blue eyes. Her sister like her father, glowing green eyes with some dark green fur. Her mother was the sweetest creature that had ever lived. Her father... she hardly knew her father for he was gone most of the time.
Anyways, it was a bright, cool evening. The birds flew high, the water in the small stream that ran beside their den was still. Suddenly, Selena's father burst through the bushes, dripping in blood. "Get out of here! Quickly!" He ushered, gasping. Her mother stood, shock in her eyes. "What has happened?!"
"Get out of here before-" Father couldn't finish because a large, black and white wolf tackled him to the ground. This wolf tore at Selena's father right before his family. Her mother stood their, too shocked to move. The wolf tore, ripping until the tackled wolf lie motionless on the ground. The wolf, now bloody around its mouth, looked up, matching its hiddeous red eyes with her mother's baby blue. Suddenly, it lunged for her, but missed as she finally grew the sense and slid out of the way. "Run!" She shouted to her pups. Selena and her sister didn't know what was going on. All they saw was their mother, another grown wolf, and... their dead father, lying on the ground, covered in blood. "Run!" Their mother said one last time before she was tackled by another unsusspected wolf that came from behind her. Selena stared. "Come on!" Her sister clawed her, getting her attention. The two pups ran into the forest, stumbling, thinking of what they just witnessed. The murder of their parents, right before their very eyes.
"Hurry! They're coming!" Selena's voice was shakey as the sound of an oncoming wolf traveled to her ears. Suddenly, her sister tripped over a small boulder that was hidden under some grass. Selena stopped short. "Get up! Get up! Hurry! They're coming!" As her sister was getting up, the wolf that had killed her father grabbed her by the nape of her neck, dangling her in mid-air.
"Get the other kid." The wolf growled between her sister's fur and his teeth. Before Selena knew it, she was hoisted into the air. A strange wolf had also grabbed her by the nape...

Selena had escaped the imprisonment, as she would like to call it. The wolves had taken she and her sister to make them one with their pack... a pack that cared for no others besides itself. A pack that was feared by all wolves. It killed anything that got in its way. They stole pups, trying to make their pack bigger and stronger. She had managed to escaped, but barely. Her sister... she had no clue where her sister was at this moment. Only that she had left her back.

Selena continued staring at the now shadowed forest. Her tail swishing as the picture of the wolves that killed her parents, and took she and her sister, flooded her mind. As she grew, she vowed that she would hunt down this pack, take back her sister, and kill the wolves who made her life hell. "Be prepared." She whispered to herself. "Be prepared..."
